Trip To San Antonio

Chris surprised me with a trip to San Antonio to celebrate our 1 year Anniversary! He told me a while back we were going out of town but he wouldnt tell me where, well he slipped the week before we left and told me! I didnt know where we were staying so I was still a little surprised. We left on Friday afternoon. We got down there around 7 and check in to Hotel Valencia, a very nice hotel! We got to our room and there was a bottle of Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, wow Chris! Then we went to Mi Tierra for dinner. We decided to go to Howl at the Moon and had a blast! We didnt know where we wanted to go to dinner Saturday night, so when we were on the boat ride around the river we came across Fogo de Chao! We ended up going and it was soooooooooooo good, although Chris and I were soooooo unbelievebly stuffed
after.

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO US!

We had a really awesome time but we missed Adelynn alot! Not to worry Aunt Tricia and Mimi sent us pics via cell phones! While we were gone Adelynn celebrated her 6 month birthday! When we got to Tricias to pick her up she was so happy to see us!

Eye Update!

Ok so I thought I would give you an eye update before our 6 month check up next week. Adelynns blocked tear duct has been an ongoing battle since she was born. Just in case you arent sure what a blocked tear duct is or does, it causes your eye to tear 24/7 and clog up with eye boogies! When Adelynn wakes up in the mornings or after a nap her eye is sometimes completely stuck shut and its really sad:-( We took her to the dr a few times and he said it is very common in babies but normally goes away by the time they are 1. He said to massage it but to bring her back if it got red or swollen. Well it got to the point where it was red, swollen, and just flat out irritated! We took her in to see Dr. Spinner and what do you know, she had an infection. They gave us drops to put in, those drops didnt work. They gave us stronger drops to put in, those didnt work. We went back in and they put her on oral antibiotics, and guess what, that didnt work either! So her dr told us if none of this cleared up the infection, we would see an opthamologist and she would need to have surgery to open the tear duct up! He said it is not a fun procedure but she will need it done. Chris and I are not happy about her needing surgery but we just want her eye to get better. We go to the dr next week for her 6 month check up and we will discuss opthamologists and etc. We will keep you posted....

Happy Halloween

Ok so I am a day late for the Halloween posting, but oh well:-). Saturday I had to work so Adelynn stayed with Aunt Tricia for a while. I ended up buying a little Pumpkin costume, Adelynn was mommys lil punkin! We didnt do much this year for Halloween. We went to dinner with Tricia and Justin then walked around Tricias subdivision. Chris didnt get off work until 9 so he didnt get to participate this year. A couple months ago Chris and I decided to extend one of our flower beds and plant a Magnolia Tree. The bed has been empty and in need of some shrubs, flowers, etc so we decided today was a perfect day for planting! We woke up, cleaned house, then we went to the plant place. Adelynn was a big help watching us in exersaucer! And I was a big help being the photographer!

We have finally decided to get Adelynns pack n play out! If we would've known how much she loves to nap in it we wouldve gotten it out a long time ago!

So Chris has been telling me for weeks we are going out of town next weekend for our Anniversary but he wouldnt tell me where! Well today in the car he slipped and told me we were going to San Antonio. I kind of figured that because I knew we werent going to the casino and I knew we werent going far! And I hate surprises so I thought alot about it:-) It will be nice to get away but hard to leave Adelynn! I cant believe she will be 6 months next Saturday! It seems like yesterday we were going to the hospital every week for ultrasounds and non stress tests! Boy does time fly!
